Keep what works
Your existing kitchen is the starting point. A fresh appearance does not mean everything has to be replaced.
Still happy with your kitchen layout, but ready for a different colour? High-quality interior vinyl can transform suitable cabinet doors and visible panels. Discover what is possible, what to consider and how PlakStudio works.
We first assess the condition of your kitchen and give honest advice about which surfaces can and cannot be wrapped.
View the results ↗Kitchen wrapping means applying decorative interior vinyl to suitable existing surfaces. It changes the appearance without replacing the entire kitchen, including cabinet doors, drawer fronts and visible side panels. The final result depends on the condition and shape of the surfaces and on careful preparation and installation.

From understated matte colours to wood-effect finishes, the right film defines the look.
We assess each kitchen in advance. Not every cabinet front, edge or surface is suitable.
A new colour or texture can completely change the character of a kitchen. See before-and-after comparisons and available examples on our results page. Concept visualisations are clearly labelled.

Concept visualisation for inspiration — not a completed customer projectThat depends mainly on the underlying surface, the condition of the cabinet fronts and the edges. Peeling finishes, moisture damage or damaged parts need careful assessment first.
Overview photos and close-ups of cabinet fronts and edges allow us to make an initial assessment. We then discuss the possibilities and limitations.
Request an assessment ↗Flat, solid cabinet fronts are usually the best candidates for wrapping. Shallow grooves or subtle profiles may sometimes be possible, but deep routed details, decorative mouldings and tight inside corners make a durable finish more challenging. Film can be under tension in these areas. The original texture remains visible: wrapping will not turn a profiled door into a flat one.
That is why we assess every kitchen individually. Include a clear close-up of profiles and edges with your request. If wrapping is not advisable, we will tell you.
A completely new look without the expense and disruption of replacing the entire kitchen.
Prices and times are indicative and vary depending on the kitchen.
From preparation and maintenance to handles, durability and pricing: clear answers to help you make an informed decision.
Yes. You can keep your existing handles or choose new ones. If the screw spacing is the same, we can usually reuse the existing holes. For different positions, unused holes can sometimes be filled and smoothed before wrapping, after which new holes are drilled. Suitability depends on the cabinet material and condition.
New handles and filling old holes may involve additional costs. You can find an indication in our price estimator. For a fully handleless look, we first need to check whether a suitable handleless system is possible; simply filling the holes is not enough.
No. Suitability depends on the material, cabinet condition, edges and any damage. Photos help us make an initial assessment.
Sometimes. Flat fronts are ideal. Shallow grooves or subtle profiles may be suitable depending on the film and surface, while deep recesses and tight corners create more tension and a higher risk of lifting. The existing profile will remain visible. Send both overview pictures and close-ups so we can assess whether a durable, neat result is realistic.
Visible side panels may be included. Worktops face greater exposure to heat, water and daily wear, so we assess separately whether a suitable solution is advisable.
Choose from matte and solid colours and textured finishes such as wood effects. We help you find a finish that suits your kitchen.
Professional interior vinyl typically has an expected lifespan of around 6 to 10 years. Actual durability depends on film quality, installation, use and maintenance. This is an estimate, not a fixed-term guarantee.
Professional interior vinyl is designed for normal use on suitable kitchen surfaces and tolerates routine cleaning and occasional splashes. Avoid direct heat from hot pans and appliances, prolonged steam and water penetrating edges. Areas near ovens, dishwashers and sinks require particular care.
Properly installed film should remain securely attached during normal use. If an edge lifts, we investigate the cause. Impact, sharp objects or extreme heat are different from installation defects.
Use a soft cloth or sponge, lukewarm water and a mild pH-neutral cleaner. Avoid abrasive pads, bleach, chlorine and harsh degreasers. Dry wet edges promptly.
We provide a two-year installation warranty. If film lifts due to an installation defect within that period, we repair or replace the affected area at no charge. Damage from impacts, scratches, improper care or excessive heat is excluded. Your statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.
Clean and degrease the cabinet fronts and remove items from drawers or cupboards that need to be dismantled. Make sure we have clear access. We will agree in advance whether anything needs removing; do not take off doors or plinths yourself unless asked.
Many projects take one to a few working days. Timing depends on the number of fronts, preparation and whether components need removing. We provide a tailored schedule.
Sometimes we temporarily remove doors or other components for a careful finish. The method depends on your kitchen.
That depends on the work. Some parts may be temporarily unavailable; we explain this beforehand.
Often, interior film can be replaced or removed. Whether the original finish remains intact depends on the surface, adhesion and preparation, so we cannot promise completely trace-free removal.
Pricing depends on the number and size of doors and drawers, kitchen condition and chosen finish. See our pricing page for details and request a personalised quote.
Often yes, because you keep the existing cabinets. The actual saving depends on your kitchen, the scope of work and what you would otherwise replace.
Not for every kitchen. Wrapping can be a good option when the existing structure is sound and you mainly want a visual update. Major damage or an impractical layout may make repair or replacement more sensible.
Send us photos and tell us the look you have in mind. We will assess the possibilities honestly and suggest an appropriate solution.
